Once you have used 5 credit to view a grafter's contact details, you can take things forward in two ways: arrange work directly with them, or use Grafter's optional online tools to formalise the agreement on the platform.
Option 1 — Arrange work directly
You can simply contact the grafter using the details you have unlocked and arrange the job, rate, start date, and payment directly between you. Many clients prefer this straightforward approach, particularly for short one-off jobs.
Option 2 — Use Grafter's online work agreement
If you would like a more structured record of the agreement, Grafter offers an optional online work agreement tool. This documents the key job details — rate, dates, and agreed terms — in a standard format that both parties can refer to. This costs 3 credits for each contract.
To make a formal offer through the platform:
1. Go to the grafter's profile or your job dashboard.
2. Click 'Make an offer' or 'Hire this grafter'.
3. Enter the job details: start date, rate, and any specific terms.
4. The grafter receives a notification and can accept the offer.
5. Once accepted, the work agreement is recorded in your dashboard under 'My Jobs'.
Which option should I use?
Both are equally valid. The online work agreement is particularly useful for longer jobs, repeat hires, or situations where you want a clear written record. For quick one-off jobs where you already have the grafter's details, arranging directly is perfectly fine.
