What does the "Promoted" label mean?

When you're looking through applicants for your job, you may see some applications with a green "Promoted" label. Here's what that means.

Why some applications are promoted

Grafters can spend credits to promote their application to a job they're particularly interested in. A promoted application is pinned to the top of your applicant list so it's seen first.

There are up to 4 promoted slots per job, taken on a first-come-first-served basis.

Should I prefer promoted applicants?

Not necessarily. A promoted application means the grafter has invested in being seen β€” it shows they're keen and motivated to win your job. But it doesn't replace the things that really matter:

  • Their reviews from previous clients

  • Their experience and skills

  • Their availability and location

  • Their message and how they respond to you

We'd recommend reviewing all your applications carefully and choosing based on the best fit for your job, not just on whether someone has promoted themselves.

Does promotion cost me anything?

No. Grafters pay to promote themselves. It costs you nothing.
