Why do Grafter credits expire?

Credits on Grafter expire 3 calendar months from the date of purchase. We know expiry dates can feel frustrating, so we want to be transparent about why we do this.

Keeping our platform financially healthy

When you purchase credits, we set aside those funds as a commitment to you. Holding open-ended credit balances indefinitely creates significant financial obligations for a small business like ours β€” obligations that could affect our ability to invest in improving the platform and keeping it running. A 3-month expiry allows us to plan properly and keep Grafter sustainable.

Encouraging active hiring

Grafter works best when clients are actively hiring and workers are getting regular opportunities. Credits are designed for when you have an immediate or near-term hiring need β€” not as a long-term store of value. The 3-month window gives you plenty of time to hire across a typical project or busy period.

What this means for you

  • Credits expire 3 calendar months from the date of purchase, not from when you first use them

  • For example, credits bought on 1 January expire on 1 April

  • We recommend buying credits when you have an active hiring need

  • Your credit balance and expiry date are always visible in your account dashboard

  • If your credits are about to expire, we'll send you a reminder so you don't miss out

Our commitment

We've kept credit prices as low as possible and made sure there are no hidden fees or subscriptions. The expiry policy is part of keeping that model fair and sustainable for everyone.

If you have any questions about your credits or expiry, contact us at support@grafternow.com and we'll be happy to help.
